Frequently Asked Questions From Medical Facilities and Communities:

What are the fees associated with recruiting a physician?
Generally, SPS represents opportunities on a retainer basis, meaning one third of a capped flat fee is paid per month until the agreed fee is paid, with the remaining amount paid when a physician is placed. SPS aggressively seeks physicians who meet your practice opportunity parameters. For less intensive searches or searches requiring a lesser degree of involvement on the part of the recruiter, a contingency search agreement may work. Under this arrangement, SPS provides physician leads that meet the client’s parameters with the entire fee rendered when the physician is placed. For a specific fee for your search, please call or email SPS.

What if the hired candidate does not work out?
While every effort is made to ensure compatible placements are made, rare occasions do occur when the arrangement doesn’t work out as planned. Should this occur within 60 days of physician relocation, SPS will conduct a new search for no additional placement fees.

Could you elaborate on the credentialing process?
With retained searches, SPS provides a complete candidate profile, which includes: a CV, a personal profile on the physician & family; AMA background check; three references all provided prior to first site visit. With a contingency search, SPS provides the following upon client request:  AMA background check and three references. Greg considers the detail of the credentialing process a crucial part of the services he provides to clients.
